HEY GUYS!!

I know it's late BUT I did promise you guys a double portion, since it's been two weeks since the last one! Let's Start!

First off, let's talk about ALUNAGEORGE. Aluna Francis and George Reid are what I call a group that are highly influenced by grime and RnB, however they have a genre of their own. I love them because it's so different comapared to the British artist we have nowadays. Normally, people look for the "whole package" in singers, groups, arist, musicians, etc, but for me I look for the talent, what speaks to me, what moves me and what makes me sway; and AlunaGeorge does just that. That's why I adore them!

Watch the official video of their new single; "Your Drums, Your Love"...

Also, listen to one of my favourite songs by them;

Second and lastly, I'm going to talk about YoAstrum! He recently followed me on my tumblr and I decided to check his tumblr out also, blasting out was his music and I instantly fell in love with it! I'm just so glad he followed me, so I could find out about him. That whole evening I was telling my friends about how awesome he is and they also agreed, so who else must I advertise him too? YOU GUYS! And I really hope you guys check him out! Check the links out to appreciate and share his music!

Silly Moi

So, if you have seen my recent blog post for 'Saturday Sounds' yesterday, then you would know more about AlunaGeorge. However, I have a blogger app on my iPhone and I had a post called "no title" (didn't know at the time that it was 'Saturday Sounds' since I don't need a title for it).

Instead of looking to see what it was.... I DELETED IT! Total accident but total idiocy.

It's not like I made it on a document and copied and pasted on i I did it straight on it!

I'm so pissed off right now. I did a good job as well. Lol it's funny that I'm frustrated but whatever.

So I will be putting AlunaGeorge and YoAstrum next saturday!

I apologise for the apology I made last week promising for a better 'Saturday Sounds' and its not even up. Urgh.

Anyhoos, See you with a fashion post on Tuesday!

Till then,

Stay Fetch et Bisou.

SEPTEMBER WANTS !

Hey people!

So here I am with a new post series called "WANTS !", meaning, what I urge to buy or what I wouldn't mind someone buying for me, aha. These are all items that I should be planning to buy soon also. Maybe, you can be inspired by these items also and I shall also write what I could wear with that item to make it a complete outfit. Enjoy!

Since summer, I have been drooling on boots on Topshop and I have finally had an idea of what I want to get. Although, I've been wanting Chelsea boots for a VERY long time, ever since I was inspired by my mother and her love for leather boots and penny shoes that she's kept tidy in the boxes. I've been trying to find decent Chelsea boots for quite a while and my eyes have rested on these (the ones above) from Topshop.

They are the APRIL CLASSIC CHELSEA BOOTS and they are £62.00. Until I can find cheaper ones, this is the one for now!

How to Style: I would accompany this with some high-waisted shorts, a white or patterned t-shirt and a leather jacket or a heavy plain (preferably dark if the t-shirt is light; vice versa) cardigan. For the shoes, I would wear white frilly-dolly socks (higher than the height of boot).

Again, we have boots from Topshop. However, these are the ALIEN CHUNKY FRINGE BOOTS and they are £95.00, again they are pricey but they certainly ooze great quality and with boots that's exactly what you want. Something that'll last long. I am really loving this boot, not only because of the height but because of the DETAIL, it might not be grand but the detail is enough for me. The buckles also compliment the boot and the heels make it extra grunge so it's not totally classy. Just how I love it!

How to Style:  The outfit idea I gave for the Chelsea boots, could be done with these also. But you could also wear them with a white cotton/lacey dress, a tan brown satchel and a baggy Jean jacket. I would also throw on a couple gold rings with a nice gold rope chain, to make the outfit shine more. You could wear this outfit with or without tights.

So.... about that white cotton/lace dress? Here is one RIGHT here! This is the HANNAH DRESS from Monki. Lace is definitely having a fun time as a fashion trend, but it most be worn correctly.

How to Style: You could easily pair these similar boots as the ones shown above OR you can go laid-back and casual with simple tan brown sandals (preferably with buckles), a simple bag (preferably the same colour as the shoe). And if it's hot you can wear a simple/light cardigan for a sunny day or a leather jacket if its a tad chilly.

As you could probably tell, I've repeatedly mentioned brown satchels or brown bags. I think I have quite an obsession. I think they just make any outfit classy in a strange way. There is one particular one, that I am in love with.....

It's the DOUBLE POCKET OLD SCHOOL SATCHEL from Urban Outfitters. Now, we all know they do amazing bags, but I must say I was surprised with the price (they are usually exaggerate their prices) and I must say I agree with them on the price. It is £48.00 and stunning!

I also love the straps, which I believe is an important part of a satchel.

How to Style: I would style this bag with anything that is plain and simple, just so it can make it more smart casual and less boring. Colours that are great with this colour are; cream, white, blue, dark greens, dark reds/burgundy, greys and some blacks (but the whole outfit can't be black, only one item of black).

I wouldn't say I am comfortable with wearing crop tops, but I think I would get it in the biggest size possible (however this might affect the arms hugely). HOWEVER, this item is SOLD OUT! So hopefully they restock this item or make a better substitute. For those that aren't comfortable with crop tops, I always suggest wearing high waisted bottoms underneath, whether that's skirts or trousers, because it hides the stomach and meets the bottom of the top so there isn't the gap it was intending to make.

THE SHEBA

THE C'EST CHIC

THE GLOSSED SHEIK

As a girl that is highly inspired by the 80's and 90's, I am and always have been highly inspired by ROPE CHAINS and I even have one myself (from Topshop) but they are not as thick and big as the one from the HRH COLLECTION. The first and second necklace are $43 (£26.50) and the 3rd and last necklace is $56 (£34.52).

I will definitely be purchasing a rope chain from there very soon.

So that raps up my SEPTEMBER WANTS, see you again with this post series next month and thanks for reading!

Till next time,

Stay Fetch et Bisou.

Living Without the -ving: Episode 2

Everyday I wake up feeling whether it's possible to not feel like a failure. Is there anyone that feels like how I feel? I always say, every disappointment comes with a blessing.... But how come my blessings are not here yet? I pray, cry, plead on my knees and even people who don't look up to the heavens like I do, have it better than me. Why is that? All these questions and no-one to answer me.
Without trying to sound all corny and stuff, I'm alone in this land. A land with a mountain. A mountain where at the top, it has a door. A gold door. That door. That door is filled with my dreams and future successes. I'm trying to get there. I REALLY am. To my parents, they feel I'm just chilling at the bottom, waiting for a flying carpet to take me there. Well, I'm not. I mean, yes, that'll be way easier, but life isn't easy. But with everything that I've been through in life so far, you'd think someone would give me a flying carpet. A flying carpet to take me to my dreams and wonders, to that glorious gold door.

Everyday, that mountain gets higher and higher. I must look like an insect to that gold door. Adding more years until I can get up there. Why is this happening to me? It's not fair. Yes, life isn't fair. You're reminded that everyday. Then again, the ones that are told that are the ones that don't live the best life anyways. You see anyone saying that to a billionaire? I don't.

This idea, life? What is it besides living everyday for everyday and giving everything you have just to be slapped in the face with failure. The escape is hard. You want to feel happy but let me tell you that grin right now falls back to a frown as soon as you remember. The remembrance of failure is there at the back of your brain, always. It depends on the day to remind you.

I know. I don't want to be reminded. Who does? But moving forward is the true stepping stone. I'm moving forward, gradually. It's a lot of work, of course. Climbing up that mountain is a lot of work. The equipment you need to climb up the mountain is easy to find, it's the mindset you need in order to find the equipment.        So what equipment do you need in life to climb and dodge all those obstacles and get to the top?I'm still trying to figure that out. I think a lot of people are....

But when I find out, I'll tell you. I promise. I promise because I don't wish what I'm going through to anyone. I'm too kind. Maybe being too kind has gotten me here. When I find out whether or not that's the case, I'll tell you too.

It only takes one blink to figure out where you are. How many times do we blink in a day? Must be loads, but with all that, I still can't figure it out. Sad? No. Slow? Extremely.I could take the story of The Tortoise and The Hare to make me feel better, but we all know in the real world, it's never like that. Well, for me life hasn't been like that. Then again, true success isn't rushed, therefore I shouldn't rush, but I should make sure I accomplish successfully in each step I take to climb my mountain(s).

As you can probably notice, my mind and my thoughts are truly troubled and filled with rhetorical questions but I will find all the answers, very soon.

With no rush included.

Hey Guys!

This is officially the first post of "SATURDAY SOUNDS".

The first sound I'm going to tell you guys about it is 'D I A N A'. They are a band from Canada. They include Carmen, Kieran, and Joseph.

Here is one of their songs that I am in love with, but I also love their song 'Perpetual Surrender'. According to their About on their soundcloud, they've just finished their album and we should be hearing more songs from their very soon. Can't wait!

Listen to their tack 'Born Again'

Click to know more about them on their sites!

A band from Montreal, Canada, I'd like to share you guys with are 'TOPS'. I've been listening to them a long time now and I think they deserve as much recognition as any other band.
'TOPS' (Tender Opposites) are what I'd call inspired by the 90s (also like D I A N A) which is why I LOVE them!
They bring such a great and different sound to the table.

Check out their song and also official music video (of ONE of my favourite songs) 'Rings of Saturn':

Also check out these sites to know more about them and buy their music!

Overall, you can probably tell that they are really chill music. Considering I am a chill person, this is music that I love to listen to when I need to escape from the world and come up with music videos in my head with unicorns and ligers involved.

I really hope you take a look at these guys. If they're not your cup of tea, that's okay!

Till next time,

Stay Fetch et Bisou.

P.S.

Check out TOPS new song "Easy Friends":

Saturday Sounds will be new weekly (Saturday) posts of music that I'm currently listening or have been really loving right now or even for a long time. I will have YouTube (or/and vimeo) links to the song, as well as talking about it.

I hope you enjoy these series as much as I enjoy blogging about them.

However,

I must apologise for my GRAND absence. It has been a mighty long time since I lost blogged. Almost a month, or maybe more than that. It's just that I've had to make many decisions concerning my future and what I'm going to do with it, therefore it has been quite hectic. A little depression and les miserables if I must say so myself!
But all is fair in love and war... Therefore, I should be back to normal and back to you great readers!

ALSO, if you have not followed me yet, please do :) It would make everything much easier for you guys and you'll be alerted every time I make a new post.

For now,
